It's not been a good year for the Twins top prospect Byron Buxton. The highly touted outfielder was carted off the field last night and taken by ambulance after a violent collision with Mike Kvasnicka.

According to the Star Tribune, Buxton was unconscious for more than 10 minutes and sent to a nearby hospital, along with Kvasnicka, a former Gopher. Yahoo Sports is reporting Buxton has concussion-like symptoms and will have to go through concussion protocol before being allowed to play again. Kvasnicka, who was also taken by ambulance to the hospital, suffered a bruised hip and will likely miss just a couple games.
