Arlington, TX (KROC-AM  News) - The Minnesota Twins say rookie centerfielder Byron Buxton is listed day-to-day after suffering a knee injury in Friday night's loss to the Texas Rangers.

Team officials indicated they're optimistic his injury is not serious, but Buxton will be given a precautionary MRI.

They say it appears he suffered a bruise to his knee when he crashed into the outfield wall in the first inning while attempting to make a running catch. The collision was strong enough that he broke his sunglasses.

After Buxton was carted off the field, Eddie Rosario finished the game in centerfield.
