The Rochester City Council last night approved spending more money on the planned Rec Center/Senior Center project.

The council authorized another $2.3 million for the project, which is what supporters were seeking. The state legislature had lowered the original $25 million budget to $20 million. The $20 million will come from the city’s sales tax fund. The extra money will come from a capital improvement fund.
