Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  A former downtown Rochester coffee shop owner who was convicted of having sex with a 14-year old boy in 2014 has been placed on probation for 15 years.

Sentenced Friday was  46-year-old Christopher Holloway.

He was given a 5 year prison term but it was stayed, provided he doesn’t violate the terms of his probation. One of those requirements is to attend a sex offender program.

Holloway was also ordered to serve an 8 month jail sentence and perform 100 hours community work service.

According to the criminal complaint in the case, Rochester police were contacted by the boy’s mother who said she had found Holloway in bed with her son and both were naked.  Holloway fled but was caught by police a short while later. The teen told investigators he met Holloway on a social media site. He said Holloway wanted to come to his house and he agreed.  The teen told police they had sex before his mother found them.

Court records show Holloway currently lives in Lee's Summit, Missouri.
