Former Twin Cities Sports Radio Personality Charged With Assualt
Cottage Grove, MN (KROC AM News) – Former Twin Cities Sports Radio Personality Jeff Dubay was charged with a felony assault in Washington County, according to the Pioneer Press.
Dubay, 49, was arrested on third degree assault charges earlier this month, after a criminal complaint to Washington County. According to the criminal complaint filed in Washington County District Court, officers were called Aug. 2 to a house in the 8000 block of Jensen Avenue South on a report of a physical domestic assault.
Dubay was arrested and taken to the Washington County jail, and was released a week later after posting a $30,000 bond. The report said he shoved the victim to the ground and punched her several times with a closed fist.
Dubay has since denied the assault on his Facebook page saying he was “wrongly accused of the assault in Washington County.”
This is not the first time Dubay has been in trouble with the law. He had a felony drug conviction in 2009 and again in 2016.
Dubay was a sports talk host on KFAN radio and later 1500 ESPN, while more recently, he has run a sports-themed podcast called the “Jeff Dubay Show.”
