‘Game of Thrones’ “The Lion and the Rose” Preview: The Royal Wedding is Here!
Now that 'Game of Thrones' season 4 has officially premiered with "Two Swords" raised high enough in fanfare and ratings that HBO went ahead and ordered seasons 5 and 6, it's onto the next major milestone: the royal wedding of King Joffrey Baratheon and Margaery Tyrell! The full set of photos from Sunday's "The Lion and the Rose" have arrived, so should the King and his future Queen expect smooth sailing and a happy honeymoon?
Joffrey and Margaery certainly look happy enough in the photos from Sunday's "The Lion and the Rose," but if last season cemented anything about 'Game of Thrones,' its that weddings are rarely without a few complications. Elsewhere, Tyrion and Shae continue their awkwardly stunted relationship, while one of Ramsay Bolton's female companions puts her bow to good use, and Stannis and Davos set about lighting even more people aflame.
Here's how HBO describes Sunday's landmark wedding event "The Lion and the Rose":
Episode #32: “The Lion and the Rose”
Debut: SUNDAY, APRIL 13 (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
Tyrion lends Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) a hand. Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) and Margaery (Natalie Dormer) host a breakfast. At Dragonstone, Stannis (Stephen Dillane) loses patience with Davos (Liam Cunningham). Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) finds a purpose for his pet. North of the Wall, Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) sees where they must go.
The trailer above certainly promised plenty of action to accompany the wedding festivities, but what do you think? Will Joffrey and Margaery get married without a hitch? We're getting choked up just thinking about it! Check out the latest 'Game of Thrones' photos from 'The Lion and the Rose" below, and give us your predictions in the comments!
