MINNEAPOLIS (GopherSports.com) - Hudson Fasching tallied the game-winning goal plus an assist and both Mike Reilly and Travis Boyd added two assists as the No. 2 ranked Minnesota men's hockey team topped Penn State by a 5-1 margin on Friday night at Mariucci Arena.

Sam Warning, Kyle Rau, Taylor Cammarata and Nate Condon also tallied goals for Minnesota while Adam Wilcox made 30 saves to pick up the win in net.

After Kenny Brooks scored 3:12 into the game, Minnesota (22-4-5 overall, 11-2-2-0 Big Ten) rallied off five-straight goals in front of the 9,929 fans in attendance as the Gophers kicked off the final home series of the season.

The Gophers finished the night 1-for-3 on the power play and 4-for-5 on the penalty kill against Penn State (6-21-2, 2-12-1-0 Big Ten). Minnesota outshot the Nittany Lions 36-31 after being outshot in the last two games by Michigan.

Wilcox improved to 21-4-5 on the season with Friday's win while Matthew Skoff made 31 saves for PSU to move to 6-11-2 on the season.

The Gophers, who are 15-1-3 at home this season, close out the home schedule Saturday night against Penn State at 6 p.m. Minnesota will honor its five seniors before the game.
