Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) -- The University of Minnesota men’s basketball program has announced that senior Carlos Morris has been dismissed for conduct detrimental to the team.

In announcing the move, head coach Richard Pitino declined to release any information about the conduct by Morris that led to his departure from the team.

The 6 foot 5 shooting guard from Florida has been averaging 9.8 points and a 3.7 rebounds per game, but has not seen as many starts this year and did not get much playing time during the Gophers last outing against Iowa.

Pitino says Morris will retain his scholarship through the remainder of the school year.
