(Rochester, Minn.) - The Rochester Honkers defeated the Duluth Huskies 15-3 Sunday afternoon at Mayo Field. Josh Pigg (Hawaii) earned the win for Rochester, allowing two runs in six innings of work. Alex Strizak (Loyola Marymount) was charged with the loss.

The Honkers red-hot offense continued to be dominant, racking up 18 hits and making six full rounds through the batting order as every single player would get a hit. They have now scored 62 total runs in this six game winning streak.

Duluth scored once in the top of the first, but an RBI single from Scott Schreiber (Nebraska) would bring in Alex Schultz (Nebraska-Omaha) to tie it at 1-1.

Miles Mastrobuoni (College of San Mateo) would ground a single into right on a full count with two outs in the second to bring in Schultz and Will Paschal (Georgia Gwinnett) for a 3-1 Honkers lead.

Mastrobuoni would pick up his second RBI with a bases loaded walk in the fourth, and Matt Fielder (Minnesota) would follow that up with a sacrifice fly to center field that brought Schultz home again. Dempsey Grover (UC Santa Barbara) would tack on three more runs with his second home run of the season and the lead would sit at 8-1.

The Huskies would get one back in the fifth, but Ryan Webberley (Cal Poly Pomona) would lead off the bottom of the inning with his fourth home run in five games to keep the big lead intact. Cole Krzmarzick (Nevada) would bring in Mastrobuoni with a single to keep the merry-go-round spinning and push the Honkers to a 10-2 lead.

Schultz would make use of a brisk breeze to lift his second homerun way out of the park and bring in Bram Grooten (Wentworth Institute) and Paschal with him for a double digit Rochester lead at 13-2.

Mastrobuoni would draw his fourth walk of the game with the bases loaded and Schreiber would follow with a single to add a pair of runs for a 15-2 lead.

Duluth would score once in the eighth, but the outcome would never be in doubt and the Honkers would cruise to the series sweep 15-3.

The Honkers are now 38-28 on the season, tied with Duluth for third place in the North Division. They sit five games behind St. Cloud in the second half, with six games to go.

The Honkers next home game will be tomorrow, Monday, August 3rd, against the St. Cloud Rox at 7:05 p.m.
