The Honkers pleased the home crowd Wednesday night as they beat the Eau Claire Express by a score of 8-3 at Mayo Field.

The Honkers had the bats rolling Wednesday night, scoring 8 runs on 12 hits. Zach Hoffman led the way, going 2-3, with a home run and 3 RBI's. Hoffman improves his average to .324 on the year. Californian, Ryan Webberley improved on his great start to the season going 2-3 and drawing a walk.

Jayson Yano had a great outing and grabbed his 3rd win of the year on the mound. Yano allowed just 2 runs on 4 hits and struck out 4. Yano now has an ERA of just a 2.39. Matt Walker made his Honkers debut on the mound Wednesday night. Walker gave up 1 earned run on two hits but shut the door on any chance of a comeback for Eau Claire.

The Honkers take on Eau Claire again Thursday night, but in Eau Claire this time around. After that the Honkers return home for a 2 game home stand against the Willmar Stingers on Friday and Saturday.
