After the originally scheduled home opener on Tuesday was delayed, the Honkers had their first home game Thursday night vs. Alexandria. The Honkers pitching staff pitched well on their way to a 6-2 win.

Alex Evans picked up his first win of the year in a solid first start. Evans went 5 innings, only allowing one run and striking out three. Ryan Boelter, Colby Green, and Matt Fiedler were in relief for Rochester, as they combined to just give up one run combined to hold the lead for the Honkers.

It was a great day at the plate for Dakota Larson in front of the home crowd. Larson went 2-4 with a double and three RBI. Joe DeRoche-Duffin had the only home run of the game, which was also his first of the season.

The Honkers are home again on Friday night at 7:05 p.m. against Kalamazoo, before leaving for a five game road trip from Saturday through Wednesday.
