It happens rain or shine and put on by the Northfield Rotary Club. Riders of all ages and skill levels may participate in the family-friendly event.

Bike tour participants have a choice between five routes varying in difficulty and distance (100, 60, 45, 30 and 10 miles), all of which will take riders through local, scenic areas including the lakes region of Rice County, the southern Minnesota towns of Northfield, Faribault, Kenyon and Wanamingo and the rolling hills of Sogn Valley and Big Woods State Park. Starting times vary, but all routes will feature refreshment and aid stations.

You can register online and fees are reduced if you register before August 19. Those younger than 18 can register free with a paid adult, thanks to the Northfield McDonald's. Same-day registration is available and will take place at Northfield Middle School (2200 Division St. S.) the morning of the event.

Something that is new this year is that a shuttle will take riders from the finish line to downtown Northfield for a post-ride celebration being co-hosted by Imminent Brewing and Armory Square. The event will feature live music and a token for a free pint of beer or craft root beer. Local craft beverages and food will also be available for purchase at the After Pedal Party.
