A Rochester man has been sentenced to 8 ½ years in prison in a four-year-old criminal case. 31-year-old Jordan Blevins pleaded guilty to drive-by shooting and false imprisonment charges last November. He was accused of going to a Rochester home in April 2010 and confronting the occupants with a gun and demanding money he claimed he was owed. The criminal complaint says Blevins fired a shot into a piece of furniture during that confrontation before he left with one of the people from the house. Investigators say Blevins then fired additional shots from his gun as the two men traveled to other areas the city and somehow Blevins shot himself in the arm. The victim ended up taking Blevins to St. Mary’s Hospital to be treated for the gunshot wound and contacted police a few hours later.
