(St. Paul, MN)  MNN--  The Minnesota Medical Association's Board of Trustees has voted *not* to support the medical marijuana legislation working its way through the House and Senate.M-M-A spokesman Dan Hauser says the group is calling for more studies focusing on the use of marijuana in medicine.  He says they cannot support at this point because they really want to see more research done on the drug and to see how the pros outweigh the cons.  The M-M-A board also wants to see the drug's status as a Schedule I controlled substance reviewed, with the goal of conducting research and developing marijuana-based medicines and alternate delivery methods to smoking.
