Fresh off of signing a new 2-year deal, Rochester native Marcus Sherels is looking forward to staying in Minnesota and helping the Vikings repeat as NFC North Division Champions.

I've met my fair share of Minnesota Vikings players, but none have been more approachable than Marcus Sherels.  Everything you've heard or read about Sherels is true:  He's polite, extremely respectful and most importantly - He gets it.

You can hear it in his voice whenever it's brought up that he loves his hometown of Rochester, Minnesota.  He can be frequently seen at several events around town throughout the year.  Whether it's showing his support for the Boys and Girls Club of Rochester, or simply handing out medals to runners who finish the Med City Marathon, Sherels always makes himself available to the public whenever his busy schedule allows it.

So when Frank Spaeth and I heard that Marcus was coming into our workplace to cut an ad for a local business, we quickly pounced on the chance to maybe sneak him into our studio for a quick interview!

As you can imagine, he's more than excited to re-sign with the only team he's ever played for and can't wait to get back to work with the Vikings first offseason workout program on April 18th!

In our latest episode of the Two-Minute Drill, we pick Marcus' brain about free agency, re-signing Chad Greenway, and if he's stoked about playing at the new stadium!

(Spoiler Alert: He is)
