Plainview woman critical after traffic wreck

A Plainview woman was seriously injured yesterday in a traffic wreck in eastern Olmsted County, near Eyota.

The State Patrol says 22 year old Mandi Seefeldt ran a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 42 and County Road 9 and crashed into a pickup truck. The driver of the truck wasn’t hurt. The wreck happened around 3 p.m. A deputy reported Seefeldt nearly died at the scene. Mayo Clinic reported her in critical condition this morning.  The Patrol says Seefeldt was driving west on County Road 9, which has a stop sign at the intersection with Highway 42.  The truck - driven by 75 year old Ronald Wagner of Mazeppa - was southbound on 42.
