Vikings franchise quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is officially on the path to recovery after suffering his devastating knee injury earlier this preseason.

It was announced on earlier today (Thursday) that Bridgewater underwent a successful knee surgery earlier in the day:

After tearing his ACL and dislocating his knee in a non-contact drill in practice last week, the QB will need to go through an extensive rehab program before considering getting back on the field.

Thankfully for the Vikings, the team won't be heading into their Week 1 match-up with the Tennessee Titans without a reliable starting quarterback.

On Saturday, Minnesota traded for Sam Bradford from the Philadelphia Eagles for a 1st Round Draft Pick in 2017, and a conditional 4th Rounder in 2018.  Depending on performance and success from Bradford, the 4th Rounder could be as high as a 2nd Rounder if the team should win the Super Bowl.

What a nice problem that would be should the team win their first ever Lombardi Trophy?

In any case: I think I speak for everybody when I say get well soon, Teddy!
