(Rochester, MN—January 8, 2014) Brent Buchan, Chairman of the Board of the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce (RACC) announced today that John Wade, President of the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce has tendered his resignation effectively immediately.

Wade is leaving the RACC to become a partner and the General Manager of Clements Chevrolet Cadillac Subaru. Although the transition begins immediately, Wade will remain active through the end of the month.

 

“For over a decade John has faithfully served the members of the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce and our greater community,” said Buchan. “Through his leadership we’ve seen tremendous results with not only engagement and growth of our organization, but also advancement in the areas of Workforce & Education, Advocacy and Membership Development. We thank John for his leadership and we wish him the very best. We are sorry to see him go, but we look forward to his continued involvement with our organization and the greater community,” said Buchan.

 

“It’s been a privilege and honor to serve the members of the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce.  Together with a committed staff and hundreds of active volunteers, we have successfully built an organization dedicated to advancing the business interests of our members,” said Wade.  “We should be very proud of where we have come as an organization and the bright future that lies ahead.”

 

Wade says he looks forward to joining in partnership with long-time associates Jack Remick, Dave Remick and Dan Penz. Wade will be responsible for overall leadership, management and growth direction for Clements Chevrolet Cadillac Subaru.  “We’re excited to have John join our partnership. He’s served our community and we know him to be a leader with vision,” said Jack Remick. “We look forward to serving the needs of our customers and growing with the community.”

 

A Transition Search Committee comprised of Chamber Board members will be named soon and will begin an immediate nationwide search for qualified candidates.
