(Rochester, Minn)-- The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today the signing of two more full-time pitchers to their 2014 roster.

Nick Gruener is a 6-foot, 185-pound freshman pitcher from Harvard. The right-hander from Miami, Fla. is currently 1-3 with a 3.38 ERA. He’s started eight games, pitching 45.1 innings, with 32 strikeouts and is second on the team in innings pitched and games started.

A graduate of Miami Palmetto High School in 2013, Gruener was named to the 2013 Florida All-State Team and All-Star Team. He was also named his team’s MVP and was a two-time team Cy Young award winner.

Carl Jameson is a 6-foot-1, 195-pound junior right hander from Missouri Baptist. The Hilmar, Calif. native is currently 1-2 with a 2.27 ERA and two saves. Jameson has made 13 appearances on the season, 12 in relief and one start, pitching 31.2 innings, allowing only eight earned runs and striking out 37. Jameson came to Missouri Baptist after playing two seasons at Merced College in Merced, CA. where he was a unanimous selection to the 2013 All-CVC Team.

The Rochester Honkers 21st season begins on May 27th when the Waterloo Bucks prance into Mayo Field for a 7:05pm first pitch.
