RPD investigating another daytime burglary; suspects same crooks

Rochester police are investigating yet another residential burglary involving a local business owner.

The latest occurred Friday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the 2100 block of Hightop Lane northeast, near Century High School. Captain John Sherwin says the front door of the home was forced open and the burglar or burglars made off with a safe and other property. The loss of jewelry, cash and other items was placed at $10,000. Sherwin says this is the 4th such break-in reported during the past week or so. He says all have involved small business owners who are at work when their homes were targeted.
