The Minnesota Twins are lucky they aren’t holding their opener today. The Twin Cities area was hammered by the winter storm that moved into Minnesota last night. Totals in the metro area are in the 6 to 12 inch range. Downtown Minneapolis received 10 ½ inches.

Lesser amounts

fell in southeastern Minnesota with the heaviest totals in Dodge County at 3 - 6 inches. Olmsted County’s totals are in the 1 - 3 inch range. Most of the snow had moved into Wisconsin by late morning.

Warmer weather is expected over the next several days and the Rochester area could even experience upper 50’s to the low 60’s by the middle of next week.
