(Eden Prairie, MN)  --  Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr is being honored as the NFL Defensive Player of the Week.

The rookie out of UCLA forced a fumble, recovered the ball and returned it 27 yards for a touchdown in Sunday's 19-13 overtime victory at Tampa Bay.  The play was the Vikings first overtime defensive TD in franchise history.  Barr also had a sack, eight tackles and defended one pass against the Buccaneers.

He leads all rookies with three sacks and is tied for the N-F-L lead with three fumble recoveries.
