EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to terms on a contract with free agent nose tackle Linval Joseph, a former second-round draft pick of the New York Giants.

Joseph started 46 of 48 games for the Giants over the last three seasons, plus four more in the playoffs on their way to winning the Super Bowl in 2012. The 25-year-old Joseph will fill a significant need in the middle of the line for the Vikings, who recently released previous starter Letroy Guion.

Joseph averaged 55 tackles and three sacks over the last three seasons.

The Vikings also finalized one-year contracts on Wednesday with middle linebacker Jasper Brinkley and offensive lineman Joe Berger.
