Despite out shooting the Senators 35-17, the Minnesota Wild found themselves on the wrong end of a 3-0 drubbing last night in Ottawa.

Ottawa scored two goals in the game's first five minutes and rode their defense, and luck, the rest of the way, adding a third goal in the third period for the final tally.

The Wild, playing without Zach Parise, who is out indefinitely due to a concussion, created chances but simply couldn't beat Senators goaltender Craig Anderson. They'll need to find a player, or players, to fill Parise's skates while he is out, as he has been the team's early-season point leader.

The loss dropped the Wild to 7-5-0, while the Senators improved to 7-3-2. The Wild continue their Canadian swing with a game in Montreal Saturday night.
