The Minnesota Timberwolves got 26 points from Kevin Martin and 17 from rookie Andrew Wiggins, en route to a 98-91 victory over the Brooklyn Nets last night in New York.

The game was a tight one throughout, with the Wolves enjoying a three point lead after the first quarter and the Nets leading by one point going into the locker room at halftime.

It wasn't really settled until the last minute of the game. In the end, the Wolves scored the final nine points of the game to ensure the win.

The Wolves, who improved to 2-2 on the season, have tonight off, but will make a Florida swing over the weekend, playing at Orlando Friday night and then Miami on Saturday night.

The Nets, who were led by Joe Johnson's 22 points and another 19 from Deron Williams, are also 2-2 this season. Their next game will be against the in-town rival Knicks.
