Damn... We were SO good!

Ohhh 1998... You were the best of times; you were the worst of times.  You were the birth of "Purple Pride", the start of "3 Deep", and sadly even "The Miss".

A magical 15-1 regular season for the Minnesota Vikings led to a quick exit in the playoffs against the Atlanta Falcons at the H.H.H. Metrodome in the NFC Championship game.

But before all that heartache, we were on a roll for the ages!  During Week 13, the Vikings made a trip down to Texas Stadium to play the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day and flat out whooped them up n' down the field with a 46-36 victory.

Quarterback Randall Cunningham tossed rookie wide receiver Randy Moss just three passes – for 163 yards and three touchdowns!  Hall of Fame receiver Cris Carter snagged seven passes for 135 yards and a score and running back Leroy Hoard marched in two more touchdowns.

Wish you could watch it all again?  Well I've got some good news: You can now relive that amazing afternoon, as YouTube just released the full '98 Thanksgiving Day game crushing of the Cowboys.

I just watched the first half, and wow... I can only imagine what could (should) have been!

In case you want to fast forward to all the scoring:
5:15 51-yard TD Pass Cunningham to Moss

17:48 54-yard TD Pass Cunningham to Carter

26:26 56-yard TD Pass Cunningham to Moss

40:36 Emmitt Smith passes Jim Brown for 5th place on all-time rushing list

1:02:04 67-yard TD Pass from Aikman to Jeffers

1:27:55 Emmitt Smith 2-yard TD Run

1:35:44 Hoard 12-yard TD Run

1:36:36 Moss 2-point Conversion

1:52:37 56-yard TD Pass Cunningham to Moss

2:06:06 E. Smith 1-yard TD Run

2:10:10 Hoard 50-yard TD Run

2:26:31 E. Smith 4-yard TD Run

Since don't get the opportunity to play on Thanksgiving Day too often, the Vikings do however get their first chance in 18 years this year against Detroit!

Here's hoping these same results happen again this season on Thanksgiving, only this time en route to a Super Bowl Championship in Houston!
