Heads up to all of you with middle schoolers. I'm not sure what happens to kids once they hit that stage of life, but puberty is a smelly time. And if you are a teacher for this age group, you need a raise. Here's why...

A few years ago, I was doing the mom thing and waiting for my kid outside of his school. He had chess club, which I thought would be a pretty low-key activity. Lots of brain power but I would think there would be zero sweat happening. I was wrong.

As soon as practice was over, I saw my kid coming towards me with a huge smile on his face. He opened the door and hopped in the car and then it hit me...B.O. so bad that I had to immediately roll the windows down before I threw up.

B.O. got the best of my kid that day and I wish I had a stick of deodorant at that moment or a portable shower because the smell was overwhelming and NOT Minnesota Nice.

B.O. is one of the top 20 worst smells that make us gag a bit in Minnesota...but it's not the worst.
