Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Cold weather is headed to the Rochester area - just in time for Halloween.

Rochester had a high temp on Saturday of 52 degrees - the last time we will experience temperatures that warm for awhile.

The National Weather Service office in La Crosse has issued this warning:

“Much colder air moves in later tonight and settles across the region for the rest of the new week. With the cold will come some chances for snow to a wintry mix. Northeast Iowa into central Wisconsin could see an inch or two of snow (on cold, grassy surfaces) Monday night. Another shot for snow looks to come for Halloween with additional accumulations possible. Bundle up and be ready for the cold and snow chances this week. It's going to feel a lot more like the end of November rather than the last few days of October.”

This apparently means Rochester area trick-or-treaters may be facing cold and snowy weather when they head out Thursday evening. High temperatures are only expected to be in the mid/upper 30s Wednesday - Saturday. That’s about 15 degrees below normal.
