Another SE MN School District Responds to Rising COVID Cases

Wabasha, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Wabasha-Kellogg School District has joined the growing list of public school systems in southeastern Minnesota that are temporarily moving to more restrictive instruction models due to increased COVID-19 activity in their communities.

A news release issued today says pre-K through 6th-grade students in the Wabasha-Kellogg School District will shift from all in-person learning to hybrid instruction beginning Monday. The district's secondary students will move from the current hybrid schedule to all distance learning.

The changes will remain in effect until at least October 23d. The Wabasha Kellogg School District COVID-19 Task Force plans to meet on October 19th to come up with a recommendation on the learning models that will be used the following week.

The Kasson-Mantorville and Byron School Districts also recently announced moves to more restrictive learning models to help curb the spread of the coronavirus among students, school staff, and parents.
