Minneapolis, MN (Gophersports.com) -- Rachel Banham has been named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week. Sharing the honor with Michigan State’s Aerial Powers, this is Banham’s third conference Player of the Week selection of the season.

Banham scored 116 total points in three games over the past week. She shot 46.3 percent from the field, including 16-of-28 (57.1 percent) from 3-point distance, and 24-of-28 (85.7 percent) at the free throw line. Banham added 6.3 assists and 5.3 rebounds per contest.

Against Iowa last Monday, Banham tallied 35 points including a game-winning at the buzzer. She was close to a triple-double with nine rebounds and eight assists.

Banham scored 29 points at Indiana before piling on 52 at Michigan State. Those 52 points vaulted her into first on the Big Ten’s career scoring list with 2,921. She is the only Big Ten women’s basketball player to score 50 or more points, and has done so twice this season. Banham made nine 3-pointers against the Spartans and helped the Gophers erase a 19-point deficit before eventually falling on the road.

In East Lansing, Banham also surpassed her own Minnesota season record for 3-pointers. She has 97 this season.
