Big Weekend in Area College Football
Minneapolis, MN (Learfield Sports) -- The University of Minnesota football team leaves for Iowa City, where it will play the #8-ranked Hawkeyes Saturday night.
The Golden Gophers are 4-5 on the season and lost at Ohio State last week, 28-14. Iowa is 9-0 and was victorious at Indiana a week ago.
The Gophers released an updated injury report and it includes 13 players who will not be able to play because of injury. The list includes the team's two starting defensive tackles Steven Richardson and Scott Ekpe, who also missed last week's loss at Ohio State.
Offensive linemen Ben Lauer, Josh Campion, and Brian Bobek, who were all starters at the beginning of the year, have also been ruled out.
Tomorrow's game is set for 7 PM. Pre-game coverage begins at 6 PM on 1340 KROC AM.
