Byron Middle Schooler Arrested for Making Threat
(Byron,MN) - The Olmsted County Attorney’s office is charging a student at Byron’s middle school with making terroristic threats.
Sheriff’s Department Captain Scott Behrns says the 13 year old made some comments to a female classmate last Saturday, saying that he was "going on a killing rampage" at the school on Halloween.
Behrns says the girl later relayed the comments through the school district’s Bully Tipline and the information was passed on to his investigators. They met with the Byron student at the school yesterday and then took him into custody.
He spent the night at the county’s juvenile detention center and made his first court appearance this morning.
