Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester Public Transit has announced some schedule changes for the city’s most popular Park and Ride facility. The city is trying to address recent problems involving bus riders parking in spaces outside the designated Park and Ride area at the former IBM plant.

Starting Monday morning, Route 18D buses will only stop at the far western lots (7 and 8) between 5:35 and 6:35 AM. The regular schedule will remain in effect for the two other Park and Ride lots closer to Highway 52.

A letter distributed to users of the facility indicated there has been a growing problem involving Park and Ride users leaving their vehicles in spaces reserved for people working at IBM and the other businesses located in the huge complex. If no spaces are available in designated park & ride areas, commuters are asked to use one of five other Park & Ride locations around Rochester: Chateau Theater/Shopko North, Rochester Community & Technical College, Olmsted County Fairgrounds, Cub Foods, Target South.
