Senior Reid Sagehorn is talking publicly for the first time about the seven-week suspension that has many students at Rogers High School rallying on his behalf. The 17-year-old honors student, who is captain of the football and basketball teams, says he only meant the tweet as a joke when he responded "actually yes" to an anonymous post online asking if he ever kissed a 28-year-old gym teacher.

District officials suspended Sagehorn for violating the conduct code for social media. The Star Tribune says Sagehorn says he has sent a letter of apology to the teacher. Sagehorn did not disclose where he will begin school Monday.
