Fillmore County Airport To Receive Federal Funding
Preston, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Fillmore County Airport is one of four Minnesota airports in line to receive funding from the federal infrastructure law.
A joint statement from Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith says the airport west of Preston will get $950,000 for the design and construction of a new general aviation terminal. The current terminal opened in 1981.
The federal infrastructure law is sending more than $23 million for airport improvements in Minnesota. Other airports getting funding are Minneapolis/St. Paul International, Glencoe and Bemidji.
