Flu activity in Minnesota remained “localized” last week. The weekly report from the Minnesota Department of Health shows there were only 25 flu-related hospitalizations statewide, which was down about 50-percent when compared to the previous week. The department also received only one report of a probable outbreak in a school, and one report from a nursing home with an influenza outbreak.  Another indication the flu season is winding down was a dramatic drop in the percentage of people seeking treatment at outpatient clinics for flu-like symptoms last week.  It fell from just under 3-percent of all patients to less than 1-percent.
