Lake Grove Township, MN (KROC AM News) - A minivan packed with three adults and four young children was involved in a head-on traffic wreck in northwest Minnesota Friday.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the wreck happened around 9:00 PM in rural Mahnomen County. The State Patrol report indicates the van was rounding a curve on Highway 59 when it crossed the centerline and collided with a passenger car.

The van was driven by 28-year-old Alexandria Brown of Ponsford. The adult passengers in her van were identified as 20-year-old Talia Brown of Ponsford and 24-year-old Kenneth Peake-Rogers of White Earth. The other passengers were two girls ages 2 and 3 from Ponsford and another girl and a boy (both one-year-old)  from White Earth. The adults were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. One of the children suffered life-threatening injuries.

The other vehicle was driven by 33-year-old Adam Lian of Thief River Falls. His passenger was identified as 33-year-old James Berg, also from Thief River Falls. Their injuries were described as non-life threatening.

The report describes the road condition as snow/ice.
