Minneapolis (KROC AM News) - Two Twin Cities men have pleaded guilty to starting a fire inside the Target headquarters in downtown Minneapolis last summer.

The arson case was part of a night of looting and rioting that broke out after a murder suspect killed himself as officers were moving in to arrest him. The man’s death was quickly portrayed falsely on social media as a police officer-involved shooting and the criminal activity soon spread.

Pleading guilty Monday in federal court to arson charges were 34-year-old Shador Jackson of Richfield and 34-year-old LeRoy Williams of Minneapolis. They will be sentenced in May.

A third man was also charged in the case.

According to the criminal complaint, the three were seen on surveillance video breaking into the building. Jackson and Williams were also seen starting a fire inside the mailroom.
