$1 Million Platteville Mansion is Something Out of a Movie

After exploring a $2 million mansion in Galena, and a home on Dubuque's coveted Prince Philip Drive some time ago, I thought it was time to pivot and look at what Wisconsin offered in the realm of luxury homes. Specifically, Platteville, WI.

My girlfriend and I took a drive through Platteville, WI a few weeks ago. It was the first time I'd ever been there, even after living in Dubuque for over a year. It's an attractive town, home to about 11,800 people and of course University of Wisconsin-Platteville. The southwestern Wisconsin town is also home to an eye-catching mansion, currently listed at $1 million!

Located at 4311 Jewell Lane, this relatively new (built in 1993) mansion sits on over 60 acres of land. It has five bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and a ton of space for all its dwellers. Engulfing the property are towering oak trees, which provide a campground-esque vacation vibe all around the property. Despite all its amenities, it has the look and feel of a vacation house, and that's not a bad quality for your house to have!

Currently, the 5,000 square-foot mansion has an asking price of $1 million even. Zillow's estimated mortgage payment calculates that to about $6,770/month. If you're look at a forever home, and you have over a million in cash more importantly, this might be the home for you!
