Ice Hawks Host Steele County New Year’s Eve

(mnicehawks.com) --The Hawks (first place, 22-3) welcome our neighbors from Owatonna to celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Rec. Center.  The Hawks and Blades (fourth place, 15-10-1) have developed an intense but friendly rivalry.  Fans of both teams travel between cities to support their squads.   On the ice, the two teams are very competitive and fans may expect an intense, hard fought game.

Fri., Jan. 2, 7:30 at Forest Lake Lakers
The Ice Hawks make their second season’s trip to Forest Lake.  The Lakers lead the season series 2-1 having defeated the Ice Hawk in their two most recent meetings.

Sat. Jan. 3, 7:05 vs Ironwood Yoopers at Rec Center
The first year Yoopers return to the Rec. Center for their final visit of the season.  The Ice Hawks have won all 5 previous games this season handily.
