It's a well-known fact that Illinois and Wisconsin are two states that just can't seem to get along. But have you ever stopped to wonder why? Sure, there's the age-old "cheese vs. pizza" debate, but is that really the root of the problem?

Well, after extensive research (i.e. scrolling through Facebook), I've discovered the real reason behind this age-old feud: Facebook poking.

Why do people in Illinois insist on poking people up north?

You see, for some reason, Illinois residents just can't resist the urge to poke their friends from Wisconsin on the social media platform. It's like a reflex, a knee-jerk reaction to seeing a "Wisconsin" on their news feed.

But why? What do they hope to accomplish with this incessant poking? Are they trying to start a fight? Are they trying to prove their dominance? Are they just trying to be annoying?

The truth is, no one really knows. But one thing is for sure: it's driving Wisconsinites absolutely bonkers. They're tired of the constant prodding and poking, and they're not afraid to let the world know it.

In fact, some Wisconsin residents have even taken to forming "anti-poking" groups on Facebook, where they can vent their frustrations and share tips on how to block those pesky Illinois residents.

The "fun" doesn't stop.

But the Illinoisans just won't stop. They're like a dog with a bone or a cat with a laser pointer. They just can't help themselves.

So, if you're from Illinois and you're reading this, please, for the love of all that is holy, stop poking your friends from Wisconsin on Facebook. They've had enough. They're at their breaking point. And who knows, maybe if we can put an end to this poking nonsense, we can finally put this cheese vs. pizza debate to rest once and for all.
