ROCHESTER, Minn. – The High Forest rest area on eastbound Interstate 90 near Stewartville is temporarily closed because of water access problems, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The exit to the rest area was blocked Saturday afternoon. Water access to the well was interrupted and work crews will be fixing the problem. The rest area will re-open when the problem is fixed, likely next week.

The rest area is at milepost 202 for eastbound I-90 traffic, approximately 7 miles west of the Stewartville exit, which also serves Rochester.

MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones, watch for snowplows and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
