Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester could receive more snow Friday than it received during November and December.

The National Weather Service has issued its prediction on snow totals from an approaching winter storm. The latest projection calls for 5 - 11 inches in the Rochester area by late Friday night. The city's official snowfall total since Dec. 1st is around 10 inches.

The snow is expected to begin falling Friday morning and continue into Saturday. Very cold air is expected after the storm moves out, producing single-digit high temperatures Sunday and Martin Luther King Day.
