Hockey Day will emanate from Stillwater, with two boys high school games and one prep girls game being played at Lowell Park on the banks of the St. Croix River. A men's college hockey battle between Minnesota and Wisconsin at the Kohl Center in Madison at 5 p.m. and a women's college game between Minnesota State and St. Cloud State at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud.

Of course, there will be hundreds of youth, high school and small college games around the state, as usual.

Minnesota and Anaheim met less than two weeks ago in Southern California when the Wild won the finale of a three-game trip to the West Coast with a 2-1 victory at Honda Center. Minnesota is coming off a 4-3 win over the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday night and is 1-1-0 on its current homestand. The victory assured the Wild wouldn't lose consecutive games in regulation, something  that has happened just once this season.
