
Minnesota City Named One Of Rattiest In The U.S.
This is giving me the heebie jeebies for sure. Orkin has released their fun annual list of the cities with the most rat infestations. I have chills just thinking about it.
Of course, this is just a part of life in most cities, like fleas and bed bugs and such. That is what rodent control services are for, right?

Time and time again, Minnesota cities have made the list of the most bed bug infested places in the country. You have to take it with a grain of salt.
Now, it has happened again as a Minnesota city has been named one of the most rat infested for 2025. Sorry in advance if you're reading this from there.
What Makes A City 'Rat Infested' Compared To Others?
This study is simple! Orkin conducted this list the same as always, looking at how many new residential rodent treatments they conducted from September 1st of 2023 to August 31st of 2024.

Of course, bigger cities are often more susceptible to rodents as there are more places for rats to burrow and call home, public transportation where they also like to hole up and and find shelter and more spots they can live in secret.
Minnesota City Named Among Top 15 Most Rat Infested Cities
Sorry, Minneapolis! Minneapolis was just named the eleventh most rat infested city in the country. The good news is we didn't crack the top ten here, which is something we have to celebrate.

More good news? It's the only Minnesota city to make the list. Wisconsin didn't get out unscathed either as Milwaukee made the top twenty, coming in at number nineteen. Maybe we will both do better next year? Mice can be kind of cute - sometimes.
