
Fans Celebrate Minnesota Actor’s Return To Chicago P.D.
Amazing news for fans of Patrick John Flueger. Following an abrupt leave of absence from Chicago P.D., the star officially returned to our television screens this week.
In case you missed it, the actor is from Minnesota. He hails from Red Wing and is a mainstay on television thanks to his role as Adam Ruzek on the show. He's been on the show for more than a decade.

In October, he took an abrupt leave of absence from the show. It was especially jarring because he's been such a constant. No reason was given at the time, although one report said the leave was due to a personal matter.
The leave of absence was never for good but because this happened in the middle of filming, many things were uncertain, like when he'd be back. We've been anxiously waiting and now it is finally here.
Patrick John Flueger Returns In New Episode Of Chicago P.D.
Yes, he's officially back! The actor appeared on the new episode this week. After his long and abrupt hiatus, he officially returned in the episode out Wednesday (March 11th) titled Meant To Be.

We knew he'd be back at some point soon because he was spotted back on set but this was a pleasant surprise! The episode opens up with him and closes with him, which is a great way to welcome him back to the show. He has a lot of loyal fans.
The next episode will be focused on him heavily, which is another treat for fans after his long hiatus from the show. Haven't caught up yet? They have acknowledged his absence on the show since he left, saying he had a family emergency with his dad.
