The Ryder Cup is already this weekend. The biennial event will take place at the Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, New York. The best golfers in the United States and Europe will compete to bring home the Ryder Cup.
The last time the Ryder Cup was in the US was in 2021 at Whistling Straits in Haven, Wisconsin. Hard Rock Bet compiled a list of the most difficult courses in Ryder Cup History, and the Whistling Straits course in Wisconsin was the second most difficult course!
#2 Whistling Straits, Haven, Wisconsin
Hard Rock Bet calls the course a visually stunning, yet tough challenge. It's the longest course in Ryder Cup history at 7,790 yards. It's also one of the steepest courses in the history of the Ryder Cup, with a slope rating of 152.
Hard Rock Bet gave it a difficulty score of 82.93.
The course is on Lake Michigan, and it is an ode to the origins of golf in Ireland. It is open to the public, but you'll pay for the experience. It's over $700 for a round of golf. They do offer some special stay and play packages as well.

#4 Hazeltine National Golf Club, Chaska, Minnesota
Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska was the 4th most difficult course in Ryder Cup history. It's also going to be hosting the Ryder Cup again in 2029. The difficulty score was 74,35, making it the 4th hardest. It's the third-longest course at 7,674 yards.

They studied the 39 courses based on their difficulty. They factored in the course rating, course length, and slope rating. They also look at weather data to find the average rainfall and average windspeed of each course.
