First Of The Season: Snow Totals Across Northern MN + WI
It's safe to say winter is here! After a long, hot summer and a pretty mild fall, winter came swiftly this week. In true Northland fashion, it came just in time for the biggest travel week of the year.
This particular system started with rain on Tuesday (November 25th) and slowly turned to a mix of rain and snow late in the afternoon. By dinnertime, it had transitioned to all snow.

The snow fell quickly and was very heavy at times. There were a handful of cars in the ditch already by the time the sun went down, and that was just the beginning of the storm.
At one point, there were more than twenty winter weather advisories across both Minnesota and Wisconsin. Now, while travel is still not advised at the time of writing, we have a look at some preliminary snowfall totals. How much snow did we see across the Northland and beyond?
Snow Totals For Tuesday, November 25th & Wednesday, November 26th
These may change a bit as we see some light snow here or there on Wednesday (November 26th). These numbers are courtesy of the National Weather Service, which offers snowfall totals from the past 24 hours.

I still see people driving without clearing all the snow off their cars, which is so dangerous! It should also be noted that you shouldn't speed and you should take it slow. If you have to go somewhere, give yourself plenty of extra time.
This is just the beginning so you better brace yourself! We may even see some snow this weekend once again. You know the drill.
