Wisconsin City Named One Of The Most Bed Bug Infested
This is not great. A city in Wisconsin has been named one of the most bed bug infested in the country. I guess the good news is that only one city between Minnesota and Wisconsin made the cut but this is still gross.

Orkin put together a list of the top fifty cities that are infested with bed bugs (gulp!) for 2023. How do you put such a stinky list together? They looked at the areas they had to perform the most bed bug treatments from late 2021 to late 2022.

Sorry if you are from Milwaukee. You now have another thing to worry about! Milwaukee is the only Minnesota or Wisconsin city on this list, coming in at number forty. This kind of speaks for itself.
Chicago, New York and Philadelphia are the top three most infested so if you are traveling to those areas anytime soon, use caution and be on the lookout!
How Can I Spot Bed Bugs?
I personally have never seen a bed bug but just seeing photos makes me cringe! They are 3/16 inches long and red or dark brown in color. If this wasn't disgusting enough, they use blood as their only source of food - or drink - or whatever.
With the holidays coming up, it is important to know how to spot them and protect yourself as many of us will be traveling. The US EPA says to check your mattress and headboard when arriving to a hotel room and use the luggage racks instead of putting your bag on the bed.
