The Daily Nonpereil is reporting that Kayla Unbehaun has been found safe in North Carolina thanks to a keen-eyed worker at a shop who recognized her as being one of the missing girls featured on an episode of "Unsolved Mysteries" on Netflix.

Kayla was 9 at the time of her abduction in 2017 and is now a happy 15-year-old back with her family in South Elgin, Illinois. Kayla's dad said he never lost hope that he'd see his daughter again.

Kayla was only featured briefly on "Unsolved Mysteries" with photos shared by the FBI.

That brief appearance on television was enough for the worker to know that this was the Kayla that had been missing for so many years.

It shows the power of popular streaming services like Netflix and shows like "Unsolved Mysteries" that a 6-year-old disappearance now has a happy ending.
